The Palm Springs Real Estate Market- Can I Offer Less On A Listing?

 

Answer is……. nope!  It just doesn’t work at this time.

 
Palm Springs HomeWe discussed in a recent article a client who had who had some difficulty having his offer accepted.  We placed 6 offers on six homes that were at or near asking price and he lost every one of them in multiple offer situations.  He was becoming frustrated.

So finally, on the advice of his financial adviser, he placed an offer at $7000.00 over asking and he got the house!  So is this bad or good?

Well good as long as your Realtor ensures that the home price is right for the neighborhood and that you intend to own it for more than a year or two.  Why?  To make sure you don’t pay more than you can get back upon sale of the home.  Plus in today’s market, if you do some quick and easy improvements, you will for sure make money on your investment.  It’s just that kind of market.

The point?  After several years of a declining real estate market, we have reached bottom and baring any unforeseen economic catastrophe, prices will continue to edge up slowly so get on the train and talk to us about your next home in Palm Springs, CA
